To begin with, I was a bit sceptical about this course for English literature optional as the ones available in the market are either expensive or not available at all. However, after attending a demo class and the course being affordable, I decided to give it a shot. After spending almost a month, here is my opinion on the pros and cons of the course:

Pros: 1. Engaging and well-paced lectures: Unlike other pre-recorded lectures, the classes are very interactive. We are asked to formulate our own opinions about a literary work which is the core demand of UPSC. These discussions also help us in getting different overviews from our peers, adding value to one's notes. Also, the lectures are not rushed giving room for addressing doubts and catching up with the content being taught.

2. Comprehensive coverage: Instead of just a summarisation, the lectures will help you get a complete overview of a literary work, starting from the author's background, its composition age, and parallels with other literary works which will enrich your answers. It will help you think more vividly and widen your perspective.

3. Well-crafted notes: The lecture PPTs are handmade with a lot of effort and are not copy-pasted from some random online article or AI chatbot. Being listed in points helps in the revision as well.

4. Affordability: The course is priced at a very reasonable rate for a 6-month duration and also includes answer writing and evaluation which was my biggest reason for choosing it. Also, Sneha Ma'am is a very jovial teacher who doesn't see her students just as a monetary source.

Cons: Well, coming to the cons I found only one. You'll have a teacher constantly reminding you to submit your answers which will be evaluated "THOROUGHLY" ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯ You'll have no room for slouching in your answer writing practice with the weekly questions which are based on the topics covered in the class and PYQs. Tests will also be held separately (⁠〒⁠﹏⁠〒⁠) Overall I'll recommend this course to both literature and non-literature background students who have begun or are thinking of starting their literature optional preparation and aim to complete it in a six-month duration before prelims.
